The Peppered Corydoras (Corydoras paleatus), also known as the Blue Leopard Corydoras, is one of the most popular and hardy bottom-dwelling catfish in the aquarium hobby. First discovered by Charles Darwin in the 1830s, these social fish are prized for their "peppered" olive-to-tan bodies and peaceful temperament

Water Parameters:
Temperature: Prefers cooler water, typically 22°C – 26°C (72°F – 79°F), but can tolerate as low as 15°C (59°F) in unheated setups.
pH: Ideally between 6.0 and 7.5.
Substrate:Soft sand is highly recommended to protect their sensitive barbels (whiskers) from damage.
Social Needs: They are schooling fish and should be kept in groups of 6 or more to thrive and display natural behavior.
Diet and Behavior
Diet: Omnivorous scavengers. They eat high-quality sinking pellets or wafers, and greatly benefit from frozen or live foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, and daphnia.

"Winking": They possess articulated eyes that allow them to tilt their eyes downward, giving the appearance of winking.
Compatibility: Excellent community fish that pair well with other peaceful species like tetras, guppies, rasboras, and dwarf shrimp.
